About
iMAX –
This is the new Internet-enabled HUD transmission protocol that is
replacing TRACSMail. With an Internet connection, you no longer need
a modem (unless you are connecting via dial-up). There are two different
ways to communicate with iMAX; primarily, following the same steps you are
already used to (Utilities => Export TRACS files) or, secondarily, through a manual
option similar to the PIC (PHA) and MTCS (RD) transmissions.
iMAX
went live December 1, 2008 and will be mandatory by March 1, 2009. You
will no longer be able to communicate with TRACS by using TRACSMail after
February 28, 2009.
A WASS Secure Connection login and password is now mandatory, in addition
to the existing TRACSMail username and password. WASS Registration
information is available online Click
here for WASS Registration Information. If you have not yet
registered for a WASS ID and password, we encourage you to do so now.
About TRACS - The new TRACS 2.0.2.C mandate includes race and
ethnicity at the entire household level as well as new calculations for
deductions in case of shared custody, and new HUD-50059 and Voucher forms.
These changes, among others, obligate Contract Administrators and HUD to
start accepting TRACS 2.0.2.C December 1, 2008 (12/1/08) and will be
mandatory by March 31, 2009 (3/31/09).
